Environmental Design & Research, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, & Environmental Services, D.P.C. (EDR) is seeking a detail-oriented, quality-driven candidate with a strong technical background for a Senior GIS Analyst position. Responsibilities of the position include conducting viewshed analysis (and other advanced GIS analyses), coordinating GIS tasks between project managers or clients and co-workers, QA/QC of delegated work, providing troubleshooting support to other GIS users in the firm, research and development of new ideas/technologies, data management/organization, and map production. Minimum software proficiency requirements include ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Collector for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of GIS experience, strong technical skills, experience working with lidar data, exceptional data management skills, be efficient and deadline-oriented, have a basic understanding of relevant New York Regulations (SEQRA, Article VII, Article 10), and enjoy working on diverse projects often with challenging deadlines. Working knowledge of Python (or other programming languages), Autodesk AutoCAD, Global Mapper, and GPS systems are also desired, but not required. GISP certification or desire to become certified will be considered a benefit to the position.
