The Maryland Public Service Commission recently granted a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) for construction of the Great Bay Solar Project. This 150 megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic generating facility will be located in Somerset County, along Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore. In addition to preparing the Environmental Review Document, EDR conducted the archeological survey, historic resources assessment, Maryland State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) consultation, rare plant survey, and wetland delineation and permitting.
