Environmental Compliance Monitor

Environmental Design & Research, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, & Environmental Services, D.P.C. (EDR) is seeking a versatile, team-oriented Environmental Compliance Monitor to join our Environmental group to work on project-based assignments throughout the Midwest. The qualified individual will have at least 2 years of experience in environmental monitoring, agricultural monitoring, or stormwater inspections on active construction sites. This position requires applied experience with the regulatory requirements associated with state and federal wetland permitting, as well as strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills. Experience associated with monitoring projects approved by the Ohio Power Siting Board is highly desirable and any experience with horizontal directional drilling (HDD)techniques and requirements, SPCC Plan implementation, and invasive species identification and control should be highlighted in the applicant’s resume.

A minimum BS/BA degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, agronomy, or related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in both environmental/agricultural monitoring and wetland delineation. Candidates are expected to be willing to travel due to the nature of the position. Potential candidates are encouraged to highlight experience with energy development (generation and transmission) and/or an understanding of permitting processes in Ohio and the surrounding states.
