Environmental Project Manager

Environmental Design & Research, Landscape Architecture, Engineering & Environmental Services, D.P.C. (EDR) is seeking versatile, team-oriented Project Managers with an Electric and Gas Transmission Focus to join our Environmental Services Group. Qualified candidates will have 5 to 10 years of experience in environmental resource studies, impact analysis, and permitting with strong writing, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills. This position requires experience preparing various permitting documents and successfully consulting with relevant agencies and jurisdictions specific to electric and/or gas transmission regulatory requirements, such as Article VII of the New York Public Service Law. Preference will be given to candidates who can also demonstrate experience with energy generation permitting and licensing experience in the context of regulatory processes such as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Article 10 of the New York Public Service Law, Section 94-c of the New York Executive Law, and the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) rules. Requires a minimum BS/BA degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field.

EDR’s current portfolio includes numerous high-profile, energy generation and transmission infrastructure projects. For instance, we are currently the lead permitting consultant for the Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind project and are providing a range of environmental services for the New York Power Authority’s (NYPA) Smart Path and Northern Priority projects. Additionally, EDR is leading the permitting effort for non-collocated battery energy storage projects across New York State and the Midwest and we are serving as the lead permitting consultant on numerous Article 10/94-c  and Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) siting applications for land-based renewables in New York and Ohio.

Our experience on these projects, along with many other ongoing/active projects, incorporates all aspects of environmentsl impact analysis and permitting, including preparation of environmental impact statements and siting board applications in addition to multiple support studies and permit applications.
