is seeking versatile, team-oriented Environmental Scientists to join our successful Environmental Practice Group. The well-qualified Environmental Scientist candidate will have 5 to 10 years of experience in scientific research, environmental resource studies, impact analysis, and permitting with strong writing, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills. This position requires successful experience preparing permitting documents in compliance with the regulatory requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) Renewable Energy Program Regulations (30 CFR 585), and/or other various state and federal environmental regulations. Intellectual curiosity is a must for thriving in this position. The position requires a minimum BS/BA degree (MS/MA degree preferred) in environmental studies/science, marine affairs, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field. Demonstrated competence in preparing technical studies and contributing to scientific reports is required. Expertise in fish and wildlife biology, marine and coastal resource studies and management, and/or wetland delineation and permitting is ideal. Preference will be given to candidates with current or recent consulting experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly offshore wind energy.
