Marketing & Communications Internship

Apply to intern with EDR! EDR’s Marketing & Communications Internship provides hands-on experience supporting a dynamic, fast-paced team responsible for firmwide marketing strategy, proposals, branding, and internal and external communications. This internship offers exposure to multiple disciplines—design, environmental, and engineering—and provides valuable insight into how a professional services firm builds its brand, wins work, and tells its story.

The Marketing & Communications Intern will contribute to a variety of projects that enhance visibility, strengthen brand consistency, and support EDR’s business development goals across diverse practice areas. This role will be based in our Columbus, OH office, although other EDR office locations may be considered. This internship can begin during the current school semester and will extend through August 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with firmwide marketing and communications initiatives, marketing collateral, social media, website, and CRM updates.
  • Assist in maintaining EDR’s CRM and marketing databases, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Support analytics tracking and reporting on digital engagement and campaign outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Current undergrad student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, organization, and communication skills with attention to accuracy and tone.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and interest in emerging trends.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and eager to contribute ideas in a collaborative environment.
  • Basic familiarity with data management CRM tools is a plus.
  • Reside local to an EDR office location during the internship timeframe, ideally our Columbus, OH office.

The anticipated base pay range of $18-$23 per hour is commensurate with experience. EDR reserves the right to pay outside of the target range based on an individual’s education, credentials, skill level and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity, geographic location, and business needs.
