Environmental Design & Research, Landscape Architecture, Engineering & Environmental Services, D.P.C. (EDR) is seeking versatile, team-oriented Senior Scientists to join our Offshore Wind Energy group. Qualified Offshore Wind Senior Scientist candidates will have 10+ years of experience in environmental resource studies, impact analysis, and permitting with strong writing, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills. This position requires successful experience leading the preparation of permitting documents that comply with the regulatory requirements of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) Renewable Energy Program Regulations (30 CFR 585), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), or other state and federal environmental regulations. The position requires a minimum BS/BA degree (MS/MA degree preferred) in environmental studies/sciences, marine affairs, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field. Demonstrated competence in leading technical studies and authoring scientific reports is required. Subject matter expertise in technical areas pertinent to offshore renewable energy is highly desired. Preference will be given to candidates with current or recent consulting experience in the renewable energy sector.
