Staff Environmental Scientist

EDR is seeking versatile, team-oriented Staff Environmental Scientists to join our successful Environmental Practice Group. The well-qualified Staff Environmental Scientist candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in scientific research, environmental resource studies, and impact analysis, with an understanding of various permitting regulations and requirements, such as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) Renewable Energy Program Regulations (30 CFR 585), and/or other state and federal environmental regulations. An appropriate, pertinent MS degree can substitute for relevant job experience. Intellectual curiosity is a must for thriving in this position. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate strong technical research and writing skills highlighting experience reading, compiling, and summarizing large amounts of technical data. Intellectual curiosity is a must for thriving in this position.  A minimum BS or BA degree in environmental studies, environmental science, marine affairs, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates with academic degrees and work experience in the areas of offshore renewable energy, marine science, marine affairs, and coastal resource management.
