EDR Announces Nina Peek as Planning Practice Lead

EDR is pleased to announce that Nina S. Peek, AICP, has joined the firm’s Planning practice to support community planning, land use, and resiliency-focused projects for public-and private-sector and institutional clients across the Northeast.

Nina joins EDR as Planning Practice Lead with more than 30 years providing land use planning, community development and engagement, and environmental consulting services to public- and private-sector clients. Her recent work includes drafting municipal zoning ordinances; preparing comprehensive plans, Plans of Conservation and Development (POCD), Safe Streets for All (SS4A) assignments, transit-oriented development plans, corridor studies, shared-use trail, open space and farmland protection plans. Nina also offers extensive National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) experience for small- and large-scale land development and transportation infrastructure projects.

“Nina brings both strategic insight and practical implementation experience to our Planning practice,” said Jo Anne Gagliano, EDR President. “Her ability to guide complex projects toward meaningful, community-driven outcomes aligns seamlessly with EDR’s commitment to creating a better environment.”

Nina’s work spans diverse projects but maintains a clear focus: resilient planning built on strong community partnerships. She develops practical policies that combine education, advocacy, and resource management to strengthen municipal capacity, improve access, reduce risk, and advance equitable outcomes.
