This project, a joint venture of Upstate Medical University and State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, showcases an adaptive reuse of a former public housing facility to create a new incubator for start-up biotechnology businesses. The site reuse plan included compliance with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Stormwater General Permit and City of Syracuse Stormwater ordinance as well as selected improvements to sanitary sewer, water and storm drainage. LEED™ Gold Certification is being pursued from the U.S. Green Building Council.
