EDR prepared the Site Plan Application in accordance with the Town Solar Code requirements. EDR’s full scope of services included civil engineering design, environmental and cultural investigations, and SEQRA review. The project had site constraints, including on-site wetlands and the need to preserve prime agricultural soils. The solar array layout, access roads, and landscape buffers were adjusted to minimize the impacts identified resources and site soils.
The civil design included layout and grading for a permanent access road and turnaround and a temporary tractor trailer turnaround. It also included the preparation of site plan approval drawings and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Post-construction stormwater management design included a low impact approach that utilized a level spreader and vegetated filter strip.
