EDR is proud of our role supporting the development of offshore wind energy. We have provided visualization support to assist permitting and public outreach for numerous offshore wind projects along the Atlantic coastline, including visual simulations for the first offshore wind farm proposed in the U.S. (Cape Wind) in 2003 and a Visual Impact Assessment (VIA) for the proposed Block Island Wind Farm in Rhode Island. EDR’s visual work has gained national attention and we are considered one of the leading visualization specialists in the Northeastern United States. EDR has published articles on visual impact analysis related to wind power, and presented at national conferences including the 2011 AWEA Offshore Wind Conference, and 2010 & 2013 AWEA Wind Conference & Exhibition.
