EDR Team provided comprehensive planning services to the Syracuse-Onondaga County Planning Agency to update the County’s Comprehensive Plan, PLAN ONondaga.
Onondaga County, with just over 450,000 residents, has diverse communities and development forms. These span very urban Downtown Syracuse to traditional villages, suburban enclaves, and very rural communities. Initial scoping and outreach for the planning process have focused on an overall community objective to create an environment for economic growth and increased quality of life in Onondaga County through community investments in placemaking, innovation, connectivity, and inclusion.
The development of this plan relies on extensive outreach and engagement, data and trends, and visual illustrations of planning principles. The county and regional planning partners will incorporate recent research, planning, and policy analysis into the updated plan.
