Le Moyne’s Saint Ignatius

Le Moyne College recently dedicated a new sculpture piece venerating St. Ignatius (born Inigo de Loyola in 1491 and canonized by Pope Gregory XV in 1622). St. Ignatius, the soldier, teacher, and first Superior General of the Jesuits is portrayed with an outstretched hand, offering help and a kind face to those who pass by. EDR designed this site with carefully chosen natural stone pavement, retaining wall stone, and native plant materials to create an atmosphere that envelops students, faculty, and visitors as they walk through the space.  Go take a look!  The site is a great addition to a dynamic campus.
